The Cougar on The Superstition Mountains

Twice a year the Cougar makes her appearance as a shadow on the Superstition Mountains.

Here it’s been recreated using slate, that has been smashed with a hammer then fit together like a puzzle to create the outstanding work of art you see here. One of a kind and uniquely complimented with saguaro cactus bones, and sand collected from the nearby Saguaro Lake. So unique that the artist could not duplicate this work if she tried. Six months of creativity and love went into this stunning work. Created in 2023.
