Rattlesnake In The Wash

In this case, slate flooring, Sonoran Desert sand, Saguaro cactus bones, pebbles, and rattlesnake skin.

Can you see the rattlesnake in the wash? There is also a piece of fools gold hidden in the mountain, true to the history of the Superstition Mountains; Lost Dutchman’s Gold Mine.

Five months of smashing slate and gluing together pieces to create the mountain you see here. Look closely for the small details that make this a masterpiece and certainly one of a kind.  The view is enjoyed every day by the artist as it is her own back yard in Apache Junction Arizona, USA.
