The pieces that have a little bit of my heart in each of them and sometimes a surprise, like rattlesnake skin saved from one that didn’t get away!
Assorted sizes of canvas are used upside down to create its own frame, then it is custom painted to match the scene. I visualize the final product, then I choose the medium using my collection of materials gathered from nature on my travels or my property. Some pieces have it all in one zip locked bag; the materials gathered, scene is sketched or photographed, waiting to be used. Places like; Sedona, Maui, the Oregon Coast, and the Mighty Superstition Mountains, to name a few.
